Synopsis

King Kong Theory is one of the great books of feminism and gender theory, an incisive essay in which Virginie Despentes shares her own experience to bluntly speak to us about rape, prostitution, repression of desire, morality, pornography and motherhood to contribute to the overthrow of the patriarchal foundations of today’s society. Despentes’ work has transformative power. It is a text that invites to change and to evolution, to walking, to action. Turning it into a stage show aims to maintain and expand this power.
